Ms. Nicole Malick

About Me

Prior to joining the NRS International team, I worked on program design, procurement, and corporate social responsibility initiatives throughout the Middle East, Asia, and East Africa with public, non-profit and social enterprises.  Trained as a licensed social worker, I have over nine years’ experience leading teams, conducting research and managing projects working on female empowerment, post-conflict, youth engagement, human trafficking, and behavior change initiatives with budgets up to $300 million for both the public, non-profit, and private sector; including, U.S. Agency for International Development, Her Royal Highness Princess Basma’s Youth Resource Centers in Jordan, and the U.S. Peace Corps.

I have been trained by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency on psychosocial care in emergency settings and I hold a dual Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Administration of Criminal Justice and Psychology from Salve Region University in Rhode Island and a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers, The State University in New Jersey.

I understand the importance of approaching complex issues at various echelons; policy creation, implementation and impact. I believe that successful activities in the humanitarian and development sector must focus on leveraging local capacity, building public-private partnerships and understanding the needs of beneficiaries both in crisis and in recovery phases. The private sector has a vital role to play in bringing systematic change in the communities in which they work and I look forward to bringing my expertise to NRS International and its subsidiaries. I am an active member of numerous professional affiliations based in the United States and value the role and importance that mentors have held in my life and helped to shape who I am today.
