TANA Netting completes week of World Malaria Day activities3 May 2016
TANA Netting has long been dedicated to improving people’s lives by fighting malaria and other vector-borne diseases. Our production units in Pakistan run day-in day-out, manufacturing more than 38 million long-lasting insecticidal nets each year. As part of this commitment, we were delighted to participate in activities last week to celebrate World Malaria Day (WMD) and raise awareness of the global efforts being made to eradicate this vector-borne disease.
Pre-WMD symposium in Rwanda We sponsored a high profile symposium in Kigali, Rwanda. This year’s event was themed ‘Means and Ways to Eliminate Malaria Completely’, and was organised by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Military Hospital. We exhibited with our agent, Africa Medical Suppliers, led by Mr. Fabrice Shema, and distributed hundreds of DawaPlus® T-shirts and caps to the participants. We were also privileged to meet with Rwanda’s Minister of Health, Ms. Agnes Binagwaho. View photo album
