Ulinzi Latex opens representative office in Malaysia29 Sep 2016
NRS International’s male latex condom manufacturing company, Ulinzi Latex, has recently opened a representative office in Kubai, Johor, in the south of Malaysia, to collaborate with local suppliers and develop relationships across the Asian region.
The representative office will be headed by Tharampal Singh, Head of Global Quality Management and Development, at Ulinzi Latex. Mr. Singh has a rich experience of more than two decades in the condom industry. Prior to joining Ulinzi Latex, he was Managing Director of a condom manufacturer with an international customer base. He is also currently the Head of the Malaysian Delegation to the ISO/TC 157 which establishes the standards for Non Systemic Contraceptives and STI Barrier Prophylactics and is the Chair of the Malaysian TC 8 which is a mirror committee of the ISO/TC 157.
Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, Ulinzi Latex was launched in November 2015 to provide high quality, totally reliable and affordable reproductive health products for the institutional market. NRS International is investing more than USD160 million into the Ulinzi Latex project to give greater access to family planning globally and to bring new impetus in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
This first phase of development will have an initial capacity of 1.2 billion condoms. Operations will then be built up in stages until the annual target production of 8.4 billion pieces is reached in 2022, making Ulinzi Latex the largest producer of condoms globally by volume.
