NRS International visits FEMA office to discuss Hurricane Matthew response
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently invited NRS International to the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) in Washington DC, as part of our strategic emergency response to Hurricane Matthew.
Kevin Peach and Veronica Rodriguez, Business Development Executives from our Americas sales team, met with FEMA Voluntary Agency Liaisons and representatives from National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD), Salvation Army, and American Red Cross. Discussions focused on Hurricane Matthew’s devastating effects on Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and how we can assist by delivering the required emergency relief essentials.
Our core relief subsidiary NRS Relief has already started supplying core relief items to its clients in the aftermath of the storm, which has affected an estimated 1.3 million people in Haiti, displacing 60,000 people and leaving more than 750,000 in need of immediate assistance. Among the relief items initially dispatched are 20-litre water containers, high thermal blankets, tarpaulins and hygiene kits.
We continue to monitor the situation and we are ready to provide additional relief supplies and temporary shelters as orders come in. To get a current available stock list and product information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
